German ambassador says 2027 target date for Ukraine’s EU accession extremely ambitious

Germany’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Heiko Thoms, believes that the date for Ukraine’s accession to the EU requires an honest assessment of reality: despite full support from partners, the process will take considerable time due to the scale of the necessary reforms and the implementation of EU law.
