Woman known as ‘first face of war’ takes up work in civic organization
Olena Kurylo, a resident of the town of Chuhuiv in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, whose photograph published on February 24, 2022 appeared on the front pages of dozens of international media outlets, returned to Ukraine in June 2023 and has recently started working for a civic organization that provides free legal assistance.
